Our beloved community turns 15 today, and I just want to thank everyone for being with us over the years.
This subreddit has gone through periods of growth and change that have shaped our look and dynamic. Some of those have been cosmetic like color themes, banners, sidebars CSS, and flair. Some of those have been administrative like mod teams. Some have been cultural like On-Air threads, Census posts, Awards posts, Contest posts, and discussion structures. Some have been in other areas behind the scenes.
Thank you all for joining us and for sticking with us. I couldn’t have predicted our growth 10 years ago and I can’t wait to see how our community evolves and stays the same in the coming years.

**What will *we* be doing to celebrate?**
* To get in the party mode we’ve refreshed the banner to get us all in the mood to celebrate (sh/mobile reddit).

sianiam: Wow. 15 years of r/KDRAMA!
I poured out all my emotions when we hit 1 million subscribers – or did I? 5 months have passed us by in the blink of an eye and we have gained another ~100,000 of you along the way.
Ten years ago I was fresh in my Kdrama addiction when my sister told me I might be interested in this sub. I started out a lurker too, checking in daily looking for new posts, then I braved the on-airs for the first time, I made my first Kdrama friend, it was all so exciting.
The weekly binge began and I met my people. <3 I hosted dramas, I took over the recommendation project on r/kdramarecommends and destroyed my to watch list forever. Eventually I became a mod. Covid, CLOY, Squid Game changed everything. Our little sub grew and changed in various ways. We started a drama challenge. We hosted our first AMA. We’ve celebrated many Heirs appreciation days. We lost a dear friend. And that’s just ten of the fifteen years. Thanks to those who make this subreddit a wonderful place and share fond memories. Here’s to making more drama friends and memories in the future and all the amazing dramas we will find along the way.

I had already been watching kdramas for several years and was familiar with product placements, but the almonds didn’t even have a brand or label.
I love that The Heirs is r/KDRAMA’s favorite drama and it is what led me here. I’ve had a lot of fun since then participating in the yearly drama challenge and joining in the conversation on drama discussion posts.
