Wide_Examination142: **Extraordinary Attorney Woo**
**Good Things** – The acting. Park Eun Bin is incredibly as Woo Young Woo. The rest of the cast is fabulous as well. The writers did a great job of balancing the tone of the show and creating amazing secondary characters that could still shine even with such a unique lead character.
**Bad Things** – I say this as someone who does like cheesy humour but even I cringed a bit at the >!terrible jokes in the date scene between Young Woo’s colleague and the chef!<. **Interesting Things** - It was interesting seeing civil cases and not just criminal ones. **Spotlight On Because** - The acting is fabulous and I can see how much work was put into creating Woo Young Woo as a unique and authentic character. It’s fun and whimsical and heartfelt.

* **Good Things**: Excellent plot twists and political maneuvering. Everyone has a history with everyone else, giving many possible motives and conflicts. An interesting blend of Stranger-esque legal murder mystery thriller with university study feelgood drama.
* **Bad Things**: Some of the legal things they get away with seem a little far-fetched to me, but I’m not a lawyer. And does it really need three separate title sequences?
* **Interesting Things**:
* **Spotlight On Because**: Edge-of-my-seat for the plot and very moving with the drama. Go Youn-jung was a real highlight.

* **Good Things**: this drama appears to be VERY realistic! As someone who practices law in another country, it seems this drama was written by someone with inside knowledge of how a prosecutor works on the daily: some things I recognize from my own profession, some things are specifically tied to the Korean system. Every episode spotlights a new kind of case, and I especially enjoy how things in this drama aren’t always black and white – just like in real life. It has an ensemble cast of prosecutors of different genders, ages and work experience; it was basically written so anyone could relate to at least one character.
* **Bad Things**: although the drama focuses on the interpersonal relationships between the prosecutors, we see them mostly only at work. So if you don’t enjoy the legal aspect, there’s not going to be anything here for you. Unfortunately for a big fan of this drama, there won’t be a second season, due to the unfortunate passing of Lee Sun-Kyun (whose controversial death could have easily been an episode in this drama…)
* **Interesting Things**: as I explained, this drama avoids clichés about the law, good versus evil, and often beats stereotypes by steering a story in an unexpected – but realistic – direction. This is also one of the few romance-light dramas.
* **Spotlight On Because**: I LOVE legal dramas, but what I love about the legal profession is how things are always messy and complicated, victims can be perpetrators, perpetrators are not always some walking villain. This drama explores cases exactly as they would be in real life!

she_giles: Just started watching this one. I’m only 3 episodes in so far so can’t comment too much but I’m really enjoying it. I’m a big Kim Bum fan so as ever I’m loving his work. Atm it seems like 16 episodes may be stretching things a tad but I’m assuming every character will get a more focused episode exploring their potential as the criminal.
