The winners have been revealed for the 61st Baeksang Arts Awards!
Hosted byShin Dong Yup,Suzy, andPark Bo Gum, the 2025 Baeksang Arts Awards ceremony was held on May 5 at COEX in Seoul. Established in 1965, the Baeksang Arts Awards are widely recognized as one of South Korea’s most prestigious honors in film and television.
The Grand Prize in the television category went to Netflix’s “Culinary Class Wars.” The cinematographer of “Harbin” claimed the Grand Prize in the film category, and “Harbin” also won Best Film.
Meanwhile, the team behind “When Life Gives You Tangerines” also had a standout night, earning multiple honors including Best Drama, Best Supporting Actor and Actress, and Best Screenplay.

It’s not about whether or not IU surpassed herself or deserved the award or the popularity of WLYT (it won the most noms out of all shows btw, so its definitely not bc of popularity that held anything back for IU). It’s about who gave the better performance and persuaded the judges of the things they did to achieve that best performance. And Tae-ri managed to do that better than every other actresses nominated including IU.
