chintyawn: I have so many watchlist that I put on hold, from the one airing lately only **The Haunted Palace** and **Resident Playbook** that I watch immediately.
**The Haunted Palace** is the one I wait with excitement every week, I’m a scaredy-cat but the story’s enough for me to keep watching although I have to cover half the screen every time “the creature” shown and just read the subtitles.
Having a hard time continuing this show : **Divorce Insurance** (ep 3)**, Crushology 101** (ep 6)**, Heavenly Ever After** (eps 2)
Also, not a KDRAMA, but new season of **Devil’s Plan** just drop and stay awake until 3 AM to finish all 4 episodes.

**Pump Up the Healthy Love** (weekly releases) looking forward to this week’s releases, I love all things Lee Jun Young and glad to see he’s getting some hype on the subreddits.
**The Smile Has Left Your Eyes** (13/16) this is starting ti approach it’s dark ending so I am taking a bit of a break, I need to save up a few episodes of a fluffy drama to watch afterwards.
**Crushology 101** (weekly releases) this is the fluff I’m going to watch after I finish The Smile Has Left Your Eyes
**My Father is Strange** (39/52) I quickly realized I wasn’t interested in most of the family’s side stories but Joong Hee and Mi Yeong so I’m fast forwarding through big chunks of the drama for the first time. Lee Joon is doing a fantastic job displaying all the emotions of >!meeting the man he believes is his father, struggling with his feelings for who he believed to be his newly found half sister and the heartbreak when he learns the man who he’s finally opened up to isn’t his father!< I also didn’t recognize Ahn Hyo Seop, he looks so different in Business Proposal. **Suspicious Partner** (jdrama, weekly releases) ***Finished*** **Kururi: Who’s in Love with Me** (jdrama) **I wanna punch that scumbag** (jdrama) the writers took an interesting premise and really failed to deliver. Instead of a story celebrating Hokomi and the changes she made in her life they refocused it on Kairi and his absolute inability to show her that he cares about her, he couldn’t even manage the bare minimum. *Everything* became about Kairi. ***On Hold*** **The Haunted Palace** - I wasn’t getting into this one but I’m reading good things here so I’ll give it another chance ***Looking forward to*** The jdrama version of Marry My Husband starring Satoh Takeru will be released in May and I am *psyched*

I love Lee Youngji <3 * *Pump Up Healthy Love* (1/12) -- the opening credits is so Norazo-coded I think I'm continuing with the drama just for that alone (okay, and Lee Jun Young too, can't lie), despite my misgiving about Eunji in rom-coms and the pairing. * *Life* (1/16) -- I'm surprised to find out about this only now given how much I liked *Stranger* S1 & 2! Definitely going back to this after I'm done with *Inspector Koo*. Ep 1 was definitely intriguing and the cast is *to die for* holy crap. Also a little excited about *The* *Devil's Plan* S2 although I just don't have the time or mental bandwidth for it rn.

_its_a_thing_: Currently almost finished **Lovely Runner** which I waited quite a while since the many kudos here when it came out. I like both the leads, and it’s great that both have played good guys and bad guys with equal effectiveness. I mean, she’s so good at annoying and entitled in, for instance, *Sky Castle*. And he was a great villain in *Strong(est?) Girl Namsoon*.
Also waiting for the rest of **Haunted Palace**. Definitely enjoying it. And ML’s smile is addictive.
I returned to **A Shop for Killers** last week but it’s still taking a back seat to other dramas.
And I think I finished **The Divorce Insurance**. Kinda basic and doesn’t linger in my memory, but it was fun enough. At least it’s named such that I won’t instantly forget what it was about.

deewyt: Doing my annual (cherry picking ) rewatch of Nevertheless. It’s crazy how you can sometimes watch something you’ve seen before and still find something new. Han So Hee is so dang good in this role. She has this guarded aloofness with Jaeon that she doesn’t have with the other men she interacts with (besides her ex). It kinda gives Kristen Stewart’s Twilight era: very cool girl, non-chalant but pensive. I fear that as time goes on, there’s some dialogue from Song Kang that may have fallen flat had any other actress taken this role.
She also sets a very distinct boundary with Jaeon before they even really understand what they’ve began— >!she tells him that she doesn’t want people to know they’re seeing each other!< … I’m watching it like oh, she kinda built this house brick by brick and then suddenly withdraws from Jaeon because she’s not getting what she wants on a more emotional level. Which is crazy because if you watch episode 3 and 4 Han So Hee and Song Kang’s chemistry is insane. Nabi knows distinctively when he withdraws during certain subjects and Jaeon reads her body language like a text book. They both are reading each other and yet Na-bi whether from past heartache or his reputation, still doubts he cares for her. And it’s so funny because she keeps saying he’s too cool, too non-chalant but she’s actually mirroring him 😭 ugh anyway. I was rewatching it because I watched 4 eps of the Japanese adaptation….. let’s just say the fact that they are doing a sort of >!teacher-student!< angle for the leads is just not working for me :/ I’m also watching Crushology 101…. Don’t Ike that we’re still writing men yanking women’s arms but other than that, it’s cute and the first 7 eps were bingeable.

Aeriellie: i took a break from kdramas, i can’t remember what i last saw last year or earlier this year but i was watching all the good ones that were on air and there was a bunch of those last year. i’m almost done with when life gives you tangerines and really love that drama so far.
i’m also watching hand maid tale but im very disappointed so far. a couple of my other shows i was watching finished airing last month and that’s why ive switched back to kdrama. what else is good that i missed?

Impressive_Car3232: Resident Playbook – I’ve been watching weekly but wasn’t excited about it at first. Happy to report that it’s gotten better and better! The character development is great, the cameos are great, the Mido and Falasol OSTs are reminding me how much I miss the original Hospital Playlist. I hope this one gets another season.
Time Between Dog and Wolf – Someone mentioned this a little while back and I’m so glad they did! This 2007 drama is obviously dated, but it’s fun and I’m enjoying baby Jung Kyung Ho and Lee Joon Gi.
When Life Gives You Tangerines – Idk guys, I’m having trouble getting into this one. It’s only been a few episodes, but so far I’m not hooked and there are so many other things to watch! I’m going to give it another try though since everyone else loves it so much.
Just finished The Divorce Insurance – I think I liked this one more than most people. It’s not a masterpiece by any means, but it’s fluffy and sweet and i like all the characters, even if the actual Insurance stuff is boring.

SandyOhSandy: **When Life Gives You Tangerines (9/16)** I love everything about this show but I can’t seem to want to binge watch it like any other show so I am taking my good old time, maybe 1 episode a week, maybe because it’s so heavy in some spots.
**The Trunk (rewatch)** This show is not for everyone, it’s dark and deals with tough subjects of two broken people but it’s spectacular in its own way, very underrated in my opinion, not like any other drama. I found myself going back to it over and over, the OST is fantastic and the artistic touch from the director (Our Blues, It’s Okay That’s Love, Moon Lovers: SHR) is one of the best I have ever seen.

**Heavenly Ever After** is ok, but I usually swing back to it last.
I am spending time on Tubi on some older dramas which have a supernatural theme- **May I Help You**, (Lee Jun Young and Hyeri) and **Tomorrow with You** (Lee Je Hoon and Shin Min Ah)
I like to work on my saved watch lists in the lulls between the waves of kdramas. Looks like some really good ones coming up.

**Heavenly Ever After** is a struggle story-wise. I don’t think it knows what it wants to be, and it certainly didn’t sell itself for what it is.
**Something’s Not Right** gets my vote for most infuriating characters, though. At the end of episode 7 I wanted to tell >!Ji Hun not to waste his feelings on someone who seems intent on being miserable. Ba Woo had used up my patience.!< I have a bad track record for picking Korean BL dramas for myself, and in an effort not to let this leave a bad taste in my brain, this weekend I binged: **The Eighth Sense** It was so well done! Distinct three dimensional characters (even the side characters!), excellent chemistry, tropes that blended seamlessly and sensibly into the story when they appeared, interesting storytelling, beautiful art direction and music. I will rewatch it at some point! **Hot Stove League** I'm only a couple episodes in, but I like it so far. I'm not a huge sports fan (and I watch ice hockey if anything), but I had a really good discussion with my resident sports fan about trading and whether there had ever been a time that public opinion mattered when it came to a trade. (I thought the answer would be no, but he actually remembers a pre-Internet incident when he suspects fan reaction kept a franchise player on his team.) I love it when dramas take me out of my comfort zone like that. Yay learning!

It’s not great world building and we’re not progressing on any of the character’s stories. Things are inconsistent and feel messy. I’m going to finish episode 6 and likely dropping it.
**Weak Hero Class 2** \[completed\] – If this was a standalone, I would love it. I loved WHC1 because of the rawness and complexity of the characters that made me really invested. This is something WHC2 missed. The scale was 5x more, and although executed with precision, I really wanted to be invested in these new characters and couldn’t because they were unestablished. The only new character I liked was Na Beak Jin. Oh how I really wish we got to know his story in depth. A missed opportunity. The fight sequences were so good, but I couldn’t help but think “This is too polished. Si Eun’s strength is his knowledge and resourcefulness. Su Ho is a trained MMA fighter. It doesn’t make sense why everyone else is so good at fighting.” I’m just sad I don’t care for Si Eun’s new friend group.

No_Extension3788: Just finished Divorce Insurance, loved it! Kind of a quiet, grown up love story. No teenage angst, so refreshing. LDW is always so good and was so funny and awkward in this. Also watched A Virtuous Business, lots of fun and setting it in the 1990s made it interesting. It’s about ladies selling lingerie and adult toys!
I’m also watching Haunted Palace and enjoying every minute. It’s so good and instead of waiting for all episodes to drop am watching each as they come along.

Sad_Ambassador_5941: Just finished **Rookie Cops** and got really engrossed – stayed up til 3am to finish it 😵💫. I’m becoming a big fan of Chae Soo Bin but realized I liked her least in When the Phone Rings. She shines when she’s bright and cheerful.
The drama is a little all over the place with romance, coming of age, drama/thriller and friendships but it kindof all worked for me. It made me nostalgic for friendship-building in college, and the police academy students solving crimes was a fun and engaging hook.
Also if anyone else has watched it, the guy who plays Tak kept reminding me of Kim Seok Jin/Jin. If we need to imagine Jin as a kdrama actor, this might be a good reference 😅.

turchinne: For some reason I have 5 dramas that I’ve started in the last month or so. I normally can’t handle more than two.
Binge-watching right now: **My lovely Sam Soon** (180/215)- watching this on youtube cause the Viki in my country doesn’t have it. I think some scenes could be missing and some of the translation as well, but I can still follow it pretty well. Decided to try it because I like shows with strong female leads and Sam Soon does not disappoint! I also don’t hate the 2nd female lead so far. In other older shows that I’ve seen (Coffee Prince, Full House, Secret Garden) I mostly skipped the scenes with the 2nd female lead, but here I can understand/relate to Hee Jin’s character better. It also helps that she speaks pretty good English in a lot of scenes :). I’m also impressed with Dr. Henry Kim, what a breath of fresh air in this old drama. I’m not so impressed with all the hitting, especially from the mothers.
Almost finished: **Dr. Slump** (14/16). Liked this a lot in the first 6-8 episodes. It felt that the two leads had a gratuitous amount of screen time together, almost forgot that are other side characters. It somehow lost this charm in the second part.
Watching **Hot Stove League** (7/16) together with my partner, so it might take us some time to finish it. OK so far.
**When Life Gives You Tangerines** (7/16) – a very slow watch for me. Didn’t grab me like it did most of the other viewers.
**Heavenly Ever After** (3/-) – I enjoyed the first episode a lot. Things have been a bit more slow in Heaven. I’m waiting for a big plot twist!
